One of the most common questions I get asked by job seekers is ‘How can I use Twitter for the job search?’. It’s a fair question, because whilst undoubtedly you can, it’s utility in this function is not particularly obvious. Hey Hung, Thanks for sharing this. I have used this tool in the past to look for job listings. I even contacted an employer through twitter and landed myself an interview
Twitter has proved to be a very powerful and awesome tool during my job search. Actually the Twitter search itself is decent enough to look for listings. I just used the basic boolean operators and it gave me great results. I guess social recruiting is not just a buzzword anymore

Yes, I am already spreading the love
I recently gave a presentation in my MBA class on ‘tips for job seekers’ and mentioned the tool 
Well, I joined Twitter way back in 2008. However I was not so active then. But when I started job hunting, I realized that I need to build my personal brand on Twitter and hence started being more active. I followed my interests particularly. Now being a Community Manager @Livefyre requires me to tweet everyday
I use it to interact with my community and follow leaders of my interest. I have been an avid follower of your account since my Work4 Labs days and have found your tweets very useful 
How did you get into Twitter?

It’s great to hear that you’re spreading the love – it’s important! And now you get the chance to do it and get paid for it – sounds pretty good to me. What I think is important is that everything you do on the social web builds on your brand, and the advantage we have in working in social media as a pro, is that you’re doing as part of the day job.
As for me, I started because cooler people than me were doing it and I wanted to see what was up!
